Meeting was brought to order by Committee Co-Chair & Living Ministries President, Karen Gidderon at 6:13 pm.

Christmas Joy Telethon takes place on Friday December 13, 2013 at The Electric Bean. Address is 946 Washington Way, Longview, WA. Time: 5 pm to 2 am. For more information please see ChristmasJoyTelethon.com.

Karen has made contact with Elam’s Home Furnishings, The Pet Works and Nick Lamere at Edward Jones. All are considering joining us as sponsors.

Donation Money Jars must be delivered by November 12, 2013 since Karen is having oral surgery on November 14th and we want her to be relaxed and be able to heal without having to worry about this portion of our fundraising events.

What needs to happen to facilitate this?

Summer D Clemenson needs to finish the event flyers that will go on the Money Jars. She also needs to create signage for the containers to collect cans for Canz4Toyz.

Karen and Linda Haarstad (Committee Co-Chair & Living Ministries Vice President) must have a list of drop spots by November 11, 2013. They will get together this week to plan this. Lynn Brown said she will have some contacts by November 10.

Mindy Schlecht offered to set up donation accounts for us so people can be directed to donate directly at Fibre Federal Credit Union, where our accounts are set up.

Christmas Parade

The trailer that Lynn’s friend had is not available. Mindy said her father may have one she can borrow.

Lynn will see if her husband has a generator. She has access to some large speakers and will see about a way to play Christmas music.

Summer and Linda agree that we have enough decorations to make a fun float.

Linda bought candy and Karen and Summer will help to attach our business card advertisements to them to hand out.

Lynn will pick up some more candy. Her little nephews have cute animal costumes that will keep them warm and cute during the parade.

Next Planning Meeting: Monday November 18, 2013 at The Electric Bean.

Other: Summer will finish the written PSA and submit it to Exclaim Media Video & Marketing to utilize their distribution services. She will also list the event on Facebook, Rely Local, K Love Radio Station, The Daily News and on our calendars on Google and CowlitzToday.com.

Knotty Wares will be at the Downtown Christmas Bazaar on Saturday November 9, 2013 from 9 am to 4 pm. Event takes place at Cowlitz County Expo Center. Proceeds of sales will go to Living Ministries. We will distribute donations in part to our 501(c)3 savings account and also to the general funds account.

Our Next Living Ministries Planning Meeting is Wednesday November 20, 2013 at 6 pm at Life Works.

Update:

• Lynn has access to speakers that play an iPod for the Christmas Parade.
• Mindy has set up our donation accounts.
• Mindy can’t get the trailer. Karen is going to ask Rightway RV if we can borrow one of theirs.
• Summer thinks since we have 2 meetings in one week that our LM Power Meeting should be a potluck. Linda agrees…
